I was contacted by my friend, Jonathan Settel, regarding some friends of his who had recently completed a Messianic CD. He wondered if we would listen to it for consideration of being featured on www.messianicmusic.com . After receiving and listening to “ Zeal For Zion”, I knew why Jonathan wanted me to give an ear. This CD is a fine example of the great zeal that both Stella and her husband Jeff have for Yeshua. Scriptures mention to “prepare skillfully unto the Lord”, and this musical offering lives up to the call. Whether listening to the almost childlike beauty of Stella’s pure vocal style, or singing along to songs that employ Jeff’s vast musical abilities and arranging talents, you will bless God for these anointed and focused servants.

Stella’s musical training, along with her sensitivity in singing from her heart, makes this a great CD to have in your collection. Jeff boldly goes that extra mile to put zip in the praise and sweetness in the worship. It is with a great blessing that I review the latest CD release from Barry and Batya Segal, "Go Through The Gates". This release is in my opinion the best yet from this anointed Messianic couple. Living their lives in Israel has greatly influenced their music to bring forth the richness of G-d's Holy Land. Each song has the Segal's signature richness of production, and displays excellence before the Lord with their well-seasoned musical skills.

A while back, we received this CD, after being contacted by a woman named Shimrit Hanes. She told us of her family, who have a musical ministry together, entitled, Zemer Levav. They had released a CD, filled with their offerings of Praise and Worship, according to the scriptures. We were eager in anticipation to receive this CD, as if the Lord was telling us that this was special. Well! Special does not say enough for Zemar Levav’s anointed release, “L’Rosh Pina”.

Not only is this CD anointed, but I believe a breath of life. “L’Rosh Pina” is rich in bringing the scriptures to life through the ensemble’s obvious love of the Lord, and excellence in using their God-given musical talents. Almost two years ago, I met a man who I will say had the joy of the Lord upon him. I’m sure that you know the feeling when you meet someone, and know that they have the Lord within them. This year has started off with many CD’s coming in from all over the world. One that recently came to us was from a Jewish Believer, who lives in Kansas City, Missouri. It is a true blessing for me to introduce to you what I consider as a must for every believer. “Shepherd My People”, a CD release by Gary Kaplan is one of the most dynamic offerings of Messianic music that I have found in years. This uncomplicated, but professionally produced CD, delves into a maturity of songwriting and arranging. Gary’s pleasant, folk-style voice, along with his solid guitar playing, put the completion of a sure-to- be, well -traveled release.

I have many favorites on this collection of Gary’s musical offerings, however I have chosen three songs from the CD. You’ve just got to pick this one up. I have found myself a repeat listener of “Shepherd My People”, in the short time that I have been introduced to it.

It is a true blessing to introduce to you a wonderful debut CD, “I Thirst For God", a collection of original anointed Messianic songs by singer/songwriter, Evelyn Jackson. Evelyn contacted us about this original work that stretched Messianic music into a new dimension. I listened, and found this CD to be very refreshing. Its production is basic and solid. I was immediately drawn to Evelyn’s diverse talent, both in performance and songwriting.

This CD not only makes use of the typical Messianic style, but also delves into Messianic music al a contemporary. Evelyn’s upbeat, joyful songwriting is very evident in her first recorded offering to the Lord.
