“Ancient Gates”

We are blessed to feature the latest CD release by Avner & Rachel Boskey entitled, “Ancient Gates”. The Boskeys bring to you their praises and worship from the land of Israel, with the richness that can only come from G-d’s Holy land. Avner and Rachel’s wonderful musical talent and songwriting becomes very evident in the music that they bring forth on this CD. Their music will transform you to G-d’s  land, and leave you longing to praise and worship the Lord!

The Boskeys make use of musical instruments that are native to the region, which helps to really set the mood of  “Ancient Gates”. Along with more common instruments, you will hear the Ney, (a Persian Reed Flute), the Qanun,(an Egyptian trapezoidal zither), the Oud, (an 8 stringed Arabic instrument), the Bouzouki, (an 8 stringed Greek instrument), the Darbuka, (a Middle Eastern hand drum), and the Daira, (a Central Asian Bukharin frame drum).

The first song sample chosen for you to listen to is entitled, “King”, based upon Isa.43:21;Jer.31:31-34,and Ezek. 20:33,37-38. The Lord speaks clearly to us all through this wonderful song written by the Boskeys. “I am the living God and I’m speaking to you”… All your sin I will forgive. In my new covenant you will live. I trust you will love this song as much as I do.

“Yeled L’mofet”, (Wonderful Child) is our second song sample pick. Based upon several passages in the New Testament, this lively praise song tells of our Messiah, Yeshua. Yes, this song is all about Yeshua, His fulfillment of prophecy, and just who He is. You will be transformed to the Land of Milk & Honey while listening to this wonderful song.

The third song sampled is entitled, “Save Your People”. Inspired by several scriptures in the Bible, the Boskeys bring forth in my opinion, one of the most powerful, yet gentle offerings of worship to come along in years. I believe that this song will bring people over the world to their knees in worship. Every once in a while, a song comes forth that is set apart for special worship. This is such a song. Worship the Lord along with the Boskeys in this song. You will see what I mean.

This CD is much more than the three songs sampled on our site. “Ancient Gates” is a must for your Messianic music collection. This one will be heading to be the favorite of many! Praise The Lord!

Biography

Of The Boskeys

Avner and Rachel Boskey live in the Beersheva area of Israel with their four sons. They oversee Final Frontier Ministries, a ministry with offices in Nashville TN dedicated to stirring up the creative arts, worship, intercession, evangelism and the prophetic – within a Jewish and Israeli matrix.

Avner was born and raised in Montreal Canada. He studied at Hebrew University, Jerusalem and McGill University, Montreal (B.A. in Jewish Studies) and at Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.). In the 1970's he was part of the Messianic Jewish band the Liberated Wailing Wall.

Rachel was born in Minneapolis MN. She founded the Star of David Singers, a Messianic music group and ministered with them in the Americas and Europe. Rachel's heart has been to foster intercession among believers for Israel's salvation and restoration.

Avner and Rachel have been involved for many years in evangelism, congregation planting, Bible teaching, worship and pastoral counseling. Avner has served on the Theological Commission of the United Christian Council in Israel, on the National Evangelism Committee in Israel, and from 1986-93 as associate editor of MISHKAN: a theological journal on Jewish evangelism published in Jerusalem. From 1995-96 they pastored the Messianic Center, a Messianic Jewish congregation in Saint Petersburg Russia.

Avner is the author of the book ‘Israel the Key to World Revival’ and ‘A Perspective on Islam’. Avner and Rachel have released three CDs – ‘Old & New’ (1993), ‘Ancient Gates’ and ‘LaKatzir’ (Hebrew for ‘For the Harvest’), both in 2001 through David’s Tent Music.
