It is a great blessing for me to bring to you David
Loden’s "FIRE AND CLOUD" CD release, direct from
Israel. David is no stranger to the Messianic movement, as he has
been instrumental in the establishment of the Messianic community in
Israel for the past 26 years. God has richly gifted David and his wife
Lisa with creative talents beyond imagination. If one thinks about an
Elder in the modern day Messianic movement, David is definitely there.
FIRE AND CLOUD displays a wide array of song
styles and timbres, and surely will fill your heart with the joy of the
Lord. I recommend this CD as a must for one and all. David’s obvious
deep love for the Lord is evident in his expert songwriting, and his
performance skills will leave you breathless!
I have chosen three of the songs on the release as
samples that represent the great and wonderful diversity evident in
David’s songs.
The first is a well-known Loden song, entitled "HINE
YESHUA" (Here is Yeshua). This song has been heard and sung in
congregations all over the world. What a wonderful proclamation that
Yeshua is the Messiah. David proclaims the message of this wonderful
song, singing both in Hebrew and English. The great songbook, which is
included with the CD, will make you want to sing right along!
The second song sample is entitled, "ASHREI N’SUI
PESHA" (Blessed is the Man). Based upon Psalm 32:1-5, the song
bproclaims, "Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered." This rich, choral arrangement will
fill your heart with the peace that only Yeshua can bring. Read the
scripture that this song is based upon, and then listen. You’ll see
what I mean.
The third and final song is entitled "JERUSALEM
SINGS". What a special place Jerusalem is. Chosen and anointed
by the Lord throughout the ages. This wonderful arrangement sings of
Jerusalem and the life-changing experience of visiting God’s city. In
fact the song boldly proclaims, "Underneath the Human scene, I
am not really what I seem. When Messiah shall redeem. Then you will
see." This is not a normal song. It is as if written for a
Godly musical. God has given David a great talent of songwriting, as
displayed in this intricate composition. As a former music teacher, and
professional musician, I must say that I am very impressed with this
song. See what you think.

BIOGRAPHY
DAVID AND LISA LODEN
As a youth, David was employed in the arts, first as
a singer, and then in the professional theatre as actor in New York
City. There he gained much insight as well as a writer, composer, and
stage and production manager. Upon coming to faith in Yeshua, he left
the theatre, and after a time immigrated to Israel with his wife Lisa
where they have remained for the past 26 years.
During the past five years, David has been
increasingly involved in the writing of performance-oriented music,
teaching voice, directing choirs, and theater arts workshops. In fact,
he has recently written an Opera in Hebrew, entitled "DAVID AND
BATHSHEVA". David founded and has co-pastored a Messianic
congregation in the city of Netanya for the past 21 years.
Lisa is a student of the Bible, having studied
theology, psychology and counseling. She teaches both in Israel, and
when they travel outside the country. Lisa serves on a number of
inter-congregational committees, and organizes women’s conferences for
MUSALHA, a ministry of reconciliation between Arab and Jewish
believers in Israel. She is also director of local programs for Caspari
Center for Biblical and Jewish Studies. Lisa enjoys poetry, and has been
published in an international anthology.
David and Lisa have one daughter, Nava, aged
eighteen.
