BIO
Netzer has continued strong since its start in 2001 as a worship band consisting of high-schoolers. Members came and went as people graduated high school and college. The three members of the band, David, Mark and Alan combined their own material along with previous members' songwriting in addition to new versions of traditional Jewish songs in order to make the album Steadfast. The title would become appropriate as a message that speaks to both the lyrical and musical content within the recordings, as well as the band's determination to endure. The music continues in the spirit of diversity, from a new version of Steve McConnell's "Shabbat M'nucha", to the rock/techno version of "Shabbat Shalom," and "Kings of Earth," the original rock anthem inspired by Psalm 2. Tracks include some hard rock, punk, reggae, alternative, techno, funk, and pop rock. Lyrically, the album is a meditation on the subject of spiritual warfare - a battle between war and peace, good and evil, unrest and restoration.
