At Last! The
long-awaited newest musical offering of this Messianic super-group has
arrived! Over the years, I can honestly say that Kol Simcha has been one
of my favorite groups. The rich, tight harmony, led by the expertise of
seasoned Joe Finklestein, is better than ever in Kol Simcha’s latest
release, “SING A NEW SONG !” There is a saying that every
artist or group of artists has a point of musical maturity when their
talents peak in proficiency. I do believe that Kol Simcha may have
arrived with this release. The mix of songs on this CD is refreshing as
well. A mixture of original Kol Simcha songs, along with some of the
most contemporary Messianic songs, make this release a must for anyone
to add to their Messianic music collection.
I have chosen three song samples for your listening. After you
have given a listen, I am sure you will agree about this much
anticipated release. My wife Shirley and I both got involved in the
review of this CD, and I must say that we give two shofars up on this
one!
The first song sample
is entitled Days of Elijah, written by Robin Mark.
The great reminder
that we are in the last of days before the Lord comes back is boldly
proclaimed in this much-revered song. Kol Simcha has added their
signature touch to this well-known Messianic treasure.
My second musical
pick is the title track, entitled, Sing a New Song, written by
group leader, Joe Finklestein. Talk about classic Kol Simcha! This
powerfully driven recant of great scriptures proclaims to give thanks to
the Lord and bless His holy name! What more can we want than to do just
that! Great song, Joe!
The third and final
music sample that I have chosen for you is entitled, Worthy, Written
by David Harwood. The blood that has set us free and His worthiness
rings out loud and clear in this lively offering of praise. God’s word
says that He inhabits the praises of His people. Boy, is that ever true
in this song! This is a great example as to why Kol Simcha is the
super-group that they are. This entire release is a wonderful example of
the mighty musical rivers that flow through this timeless musical group!
