Phil Plotnekis a second generation Messianic Jew from Melbourne, Australia. Phil's amiable disposition radiates zeal for his Messiah Yeshua, unmistakably evident in his life, his family, his music and his ministry.
Phil was blessed to grow up in a home where both parents were involved in full time Evangelistic Ministry. Phil's father, Joseph Plotnek born in Birmingham, UK, became a believer in Jesus after WWII to the shock of his family. Joseph's testimony and calling into full time evangelistic ministry was unstoppable. As a missionary family they travelled extensively throughout Australia and the UK. Some people best remember Phil's father for his preaching and radio ministry in Melbourne throughout the 60's and 70's and his autobiography, "This Poor Man Cried". What is always encouraging and very precious to Phil, is that on various occasions throughout Phil's travels as an itinerant minister himself, he has been approached by many Jewish and Christian people who were personally touched by Joseph's ministry. They fondly remember Phil's father as a powerful, passionate and unswerving emissary of the gospel, followed by a documented healing ministry.
Phil Plotnek is the Associate Pastor of Australia's one and only long standing Messianic Congregation together with Pastor Lawrence Hirsch (a South African Jewish believer). Beit HaMashiach is located in the heart of Melbourne's Jewish community ( www.beithamashiach.com ).
Phil is an accomplished musician and anointed worship leader. He teaches on the Jewish legacy of the Christian faith and its biblical significance for us today; and preaches soundly from the Word of God. Phil holds a Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies, and has been in ministry since the mid 80's. Phil is married to Adrienne, a Brazilian Jewish believer, and together they have four children - Jordan (1992), Emilea (1996), Jeremiah (1999) and Jacque (2001).
Phil has recently returned from the US and Israel where he toured and ministered in various places, including Tel Aviv's "Raise the Praise". This experience has heightened Phil's personal fervency to see believers everywhere turn their focus to their own personal relationship with the Lord first and foremost, and then to preach the good news to all those who are perishing. Phil's passion is expressed in his music, and the anointing captured during live performances. From time to time Phil Plotnek is seen on the Australian Christian Channel, and has launched two Messianic Albums, with a third being released soon.
