When my children were young I was sad that there was no music  for them that would help them to grow in their Jewish identity as well as grow in their love of their Messiah.  Finally the Lord told me to "stop kvetching and start writiing"!  I sat down with pen in hand and the Sabbath prayer I sing over the candles came to mind and He blessed me with the song "See the Shabbat Candles".  More songs followed and I had the honor of introducing them at the Messiah Conference in an evening concert.  The response was very positive and Rick Coghill of Lamb decided he wanted to produce the album to make it available to Messianic Jewish families.  And so Enter My Rest was born.
I came to faith in Messiah as an 18 year old.  The young people I was with told me I wasn't Jewish anymore, and my parents certainly told me I wasn't Jewish anymore!  It took me 5 years to realize that my Judaism wasn't so easily thrown aside. The Lord showed me that what I was really running from was His broken heart for His people and my broken heart over my family's rejection of Yeshua.  Within 3 months of agreeing to take on this burden, my sister came to the Lord and is now a teacher, worship leader and the wife of a Rabbi in the Messianic movement.
God has shown Himself so faithful to me in the years that I have known him.  He has made a way for me to record Enter My Rest in Spanish and I was allowed to sing at the first Messianic Conference in Mexico, even though I don't speak that language!  All things are possible with Him and I look forward to all that He still has in store!
May this CD that has blessed many Messianic families be used to bless a new generation of children growing up in the knowledge of their Messiah.
