The Psalms are some of my favorite chapters in the
Bible. Just imagine what it would be like to be able to experience the
Psalms in song, as in the days of David. With great honor do I have, in
featuring Steve Schneider’s “Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem”. This
release is devoted entirely to the Psalms. Steve skillfully weaves his
anointed musicianship into the Psalms that he has put to song. This
modern day Psalmist is a refreshing breath, dedicated to the Lord. Steve’s
heart to serve the Lord is clearly known with the labor of love that he
has put into this CD. You will truly be blessed by adding this CD to
your collection.
My first song pick from this release is taken from
Psalm 91 & 23. “God’s Hiding Place” brings G-d’s word
to life as Steve explores these much loved passages. You will experience
joy in the Lord while listening to this praise of exaltation.
Psalm 51 is the inspiration of “Pure Heart”, my
second song pick. Read the Psalm, and then listen to this heartfelt
offering of rejoicing in the Lord. Steve created a wonderfully melodic
theme that is carefully woven around the verses.
The third sample is based upon Psalm 24. Where does
your help come from? Steve tells you in “Let The King Of Glory”. You
will have no doubt after listening to this faith building song. This is
one of my favorite songs in this release.
Steve has been around the Messianic movement for many
years. His maturity in the Lord has brought a blessing to the body.
Praise The Lord! When is the next release, Steve?
AUTOBIOGRAPHY
I was born
into a Jewish home in southern California. At the early age of 6, I
began playing classical piano and studied for 6 years until the age 12,
when I decided to change to different styles of music. At a young age, I
worked with qualified musicians and played in musical groups traveling
to various states in the USA. At the age of 16 I quit high school, only
to complete my high school education later on, after I became a believer
in Yeshua.
After several years of
searching to know the truth, I was approached while at a music rehearsal
session for a nightclub job. The members of the group asked me if I
would like to read the Bible with them. To my surprise and excitement,
when I opened the Bible to the book of Romans 10:9-10,Yeshua (who I knew
as Jesus) revealed Himself to me and told me that He is G*d Almighty,
the Son and that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I immediately
gave my life to the L*rd and was delivered from the old patterns of sin
in my life, dedicating my life to the L*rd for His service.
After 1 year, in 1974, I was baptized with water in
Columbus, Ohio and was told about a Messianic Jewish fellowship, whose
leader was Marty Chernoff of Cincinnati, Ohio.
I moved into the Chernoff's home for 1 year and they
moved to Philadelphia. For 1 year I studied the Bible under Rachmiel
Friedland. In 1976, I was asked by Louis Kaplan, from Jewish Voice
Broadcast, to fly to Israel with a group of 17 others to share the
Good-News of Yeshua with the Jewish people throughout the land of
Israel. It was after 6 weeks that I decided that I would become an
Israeli and live in the land of Israel.
It was in the beginning of my life as a believer,
that I started to compose songs using the Tenach as the words to the
songs. For many years I composed songs, but in 1997 I got a strong
interest to write music to the Psalms in the Tenach, using the complete
text so that people could be encouraged and memorize the text in a fast
way.
I am now coming out with a new CD entitled "WHEN
CAN I GO TO MEET WITH G*D?",
