It is with a
great blessing that I review the latest CD release from Barry and Batya
Segal, "Go Through The Gates". This release is in my opinion
the best yet from this anointed Messianic couple. Living their lives in
Israel has greatly influenced their music to bring forth the richness of
G-d's Holy Land. Each song has the Segal's signature richness of
production, and displays excellence before the Lord with their
well-seasoned musical skills.
Every song pours out in the emotion of the message portrayed. It is one
thing to sing songs, another to pour one's heart into the music. Each
song on "Go Through The Gates" is sure to involve your
emotions as well!
The first song that I have chosen as a sample is "On Your Walls O
Jerusalem". Based upon Isaiah 62:6-7, this song will bring the
Bible alive for you! The Segals immediately set the scene by displaying
Hebrew chant, as if to be listening in on Jerusalem. Then a lively
melody exclaiming the watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, brings us
right into the Holy Land! I get holy goose bumps when listening to this
one. Let me know what you think!
The second song that was chosen as a sample is entitled "Simcha
Kadosh",(O Holy One). Written by Batya, this song is a personal
offering of worship to the Lord. While listening, I felt the heart of
the woman behind the song. Almost as a child, Batya comes before the
Lord with this beautiful adoration unto Him. You will find yourself
closing your eyes and worshipping the Lord, as my wife and I did.
The third song sample is taken from "In The Latter Days".
Again, the emotion of the song is captured by the Segal's signature
intros to this well-known praise song. Isaiah 2:4 sets the scene in this
great adaptation. "Going up, going up to the mountain, Going up to
the house of the Lord! This song will leave you with dancing feet and
clapping hands.
Galilee Of The Nations label, part of the Christian music's icon
Provident Music Group, is behind this sure-to-be epic release. I would
like to applaud them as well for their continued commitment to bringing
Messianic music to the world. In summary, I can only say that you will
not be disappointed by Barry and Batya's latest release. |

Barry & Batya Segal
International
worship leaders Barry & Batya Segal are Jewish believers in Yeshua
and are at the forefront of what God is doing in the present day Nation
of Israel.
The Segals have developed the non-profit
charity organization, “Vision for Israel”, which assists the poor
and needy while also reaching out to the families of the victims of
terrorism. Vision’s most challenging project to date is
“The Joseph Storehouse” a humanitarian aid center located in
the hills of Jerusalem. The storehouse functions for the entire
community of Israel, both Jewish and Arab, gathering and distributing
emergency medical supplies, bedding, food, clothing and other basic life
necessities.
The Segals make their home in the mountains
surrounding Jerusalem with their three children. In addition to their
vibrant charity organizations, the Segals are also prolific
international speakers and music missionaries. Batya is also one of
today’s leading songwriters of Hebrew Messianic music in Israel.
