I have just received from Israel, Elisheva Shomron’s latest
release, "Song For Zion". Many of you have been
writing me, asking for more Messianic music from the land of Israel. I
am pleased to feature Elisheva’s latest. "Song For
Zion", is a compilation of songs that she has written over
the years. She features various singers on many of the songs, and sings
some of them herself. You will hear some of the well-known Messianic
artists from the Holy Land, such as Chuck King, worship leader
for King of Kings Assembly in Jerusalem, Carol Cantrell of
Bridges For Peace in Israel, and many others. It seems that each
song on this CD, was made for each person’s voice who performed the
song. This CD is one of the finest that I have heard in recent years
coming from the Holy Land. Most of the songs are sung both in Hebrew and
English. In fact, the CD jacket contains the actual words and music
score for each song on this wonderful CD. This CD is a must to introduce
these anointed songs to the worship team of your congregation or church.
I have chosen three of the tracks as song samples for you to listen
to.
The first is entitled: "Roni, v’Simchi Bat Zion",
(Rejoice and Be Glad, Daughter of Zion). David Katz sings this
version of this great, uplifting song of The Lord’s soon
return! This song is guaranteed to make you rejoice! Get up and dance to
the Lord!
The second song sample is a revisitation of Elisheva’s song, "Kadosh".
This song has been heard all over the world and has been translated into
many languages. It brings me to the throne room of the Lord, on my face!
This song has to be one of the most anointed worship songs ever written.
It is simple, but a powerful adoration to the Lord. Chaim Warshawsky
does a masterful job singing this song.
The third sample is entitled, "Rak Ata"(Only You).
This song is sung by Elisheva. She brings her pure, almost childlike
voice quality to this song. The Lord is our Shephard, and we belong to
Him! Elisheva cries out for the Lord to come and fill her heart and
dwell within her. We should all be pining for this! Listen to this
sample. It will make you slow down and realize what really matters.
