Gregory Silverman Bio

Gregory Silverman brings the message of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) to both Jewish and Gentile Believers through his anointed Messianic Jewish and Gospel Music as well as Teachings and Explanations of God’s Word through the Jewish Believer's perspective. Gregory’s love and enthusiasm for the Messiah Jesus and for God’s people are evident in every concert, choral workshop, and speaking presentation he gives.

Gregory’s father is Jewish and his mother is Christian. During his youth he attended various churches, especially African-American Gospel Churches! He eventually became quite proficient as a gospel pianist and singer himself. Little did he know at that time that Jewish people who believed in Jesus even existed, let alone that God would eventually call him to full time ministry into the Messianic Jewish Movement. In 2001, Gregory was invited by a Temple University friend to Congregation Beth Yeshua, and from his first visit, he immediately felt completely at home. A year later he met his wife Rosa who was also a member of the congregation.

Prior to being the founder of Watchman Music and joining hand in hand with Kesher Ministries International, Gregory Silverman gained a great deal of Music Ministry, Teaching, and Performing experience. His university education began by studying with world-renowned gospel scholar, Dr. Horace Boyer, and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in both Vocal Jazz and Gospel Music, and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. Afterward, he worked in New York City in schools and churches for two years, including directing the Sounds of Glory Youth Gospel Choir in Greenwich Village and leading music for the Nightwatch Youth program at Saint John the Divine. Gregory left New York to gain his Masters Degree in Classical Choral Conducting under the direction of Mr. Alan Harler at Temple University. At Temple, he also studied Orchestral Conducting with Maestro Luis Biava, the Assistant Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Since graduating, he has taught choral & orchestral music levels

Recently, Gregory has performed an original composition, “O Lord, Save Your People Israel” at The White House with the Haverford Centennial Singers. He sang and played concerts and feature presentations of original Scripture songs at the Messiah Conferences 2002-2004. Currently Gregory is the director of the Youth Worship Team at Beth Yeshua, SELAH which was founded in 2002.
