Let The Son Shine
by Phil Pearlman
Ok! We've heard it before. You know... "walk
the walk". But even though we seem to get this message delivered to us on every
Sabbath, how often do we put the words into action, or should I say "The Word"
into practice. We go on our merry way, and argue on the way home from services. We go to
work, and act like we have forgotten most things about our faith. What does it mean to be
an example? What effect does it have on others who would believe, but don't see good
examples of a believer around them? If we truly want to live a life of belief in Messiah,
Yeshua (Jesus), then why don't we let His light shine through to others everywhere we go?
It is hard to get by in these days, with the world full of hate,
deceit, and other sinful temptations. But with our faith in the Lord, Yeshua (Jesus), and
our willingness to let His light shine though us, what a different world this would
become! So what are the attributes of a godly man who lives a life of integrity before
others? We can find these attributes in the following scriptures: 1 Timothy 3:1-13,
Titus 1:5-9, 2:1-2, 2:6-8, 3:1-2
