It is with great blessing to feature Sue Samuel’s
debut album, "Home Away From Home" on www.messianicmusic.com
Produced by three time Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee Margaret
Becker, "Home Away from Home" is sure to be a blessing
to many messianic music enthusiasts.
Based on Psalm 103, "Barakhee Nafshee Et Ad-nai",
is written by Sue Samuel. This song glorifies our L-rd for His great
mercy in forgiving all of our iniquities, healing our diseases, and
redeeming our lives from destruction. He has crowned us with loving
kindness and tender mercies. As far as the east is from the west, so far
has He removed our transgressions from us.
"Covenant", also written by Sue
Samuel, reminds us of the sacrifice that Yeshua made for us. Covenant,
sweet covenant, Sealed for eternity. Let us remember that nothing that
we can do can compare to what our Savior did for us. We should all be on
our knees thanking and praising Him for the covenant that He made with
us.
Written by Margaret Becker and David M. Edwards,
"You’re Worthy" exalts and glorifies our Lord. He is
worthy of all praise!
Biography of Sue Samuel
Sue’s musical experience dates back to her
childhood, when she first picked up an acoustic guitar at the age of 7.
She began writing songs and lyrics in her early teens, and even produced
her own demos (using 3 cassette recorders to harmonize with herself) at
the age of 13. She was an active member and performer in the NJ Folk
Project, and has been blessed to share the stage with Messianic greats
Marty Goetz, Paul Wilbur, and Joel Chernoff. Sue has appeared and
ministered in a variety of venues, from the New Jersey Clearwater
Festival featuring folk-legend Pete Seeger, to local Christian
coffeehouses, to the National Messiah Conference in Grantham, PA and the
now-famous Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.
Sue commits her singing and songwriting to G-d, and
desires to capture the essence of His inclusive love in her song lyrics
and melodies. Her writing is inspired from her journey with the Messiah,
sometimes from the desolate wilderness, and sometimes from atop mighty
mountains, but always from a place of love and awe for the L-rd.
After meeting her husband Brian in 1995, they began
attending Beth Zion Messianic Jewish Synagogue in New Jersey, where Sue
learned about, and grew a deeper appreciation for the Jewish roots of
her Christian faith. Currently, Sue and Brian are worship leaders at the
synagogue. She incorporates the Messianic message in her songs, and
includes Hebraic scriptures in her lyrics.
